Evaluations/Observations
The evidence is found below in letters of thanks students and colleagues have written. Through course and peer evaluations you can see the time, effort, and personal care I devote to my students and my full-time position as a faculty member. No matter what the subject or discipline, my history has provided constant and exceptional results.
I have always received positive observations and support from my colleagues and supervisors. I have never been identified as a faculty member who has not carried her weight in a division, school, or department. Year after year I exceeded way beyond my job description. I have been a mentor and role model to the faculty I work with. I go beyond keeping myself current with the research behind pedagogy.
I take any opportunity given to me to train adjunct and share ideas with my fellow teachers. I also learn from others as they share what they do in their classroom. This was noted time and time again in my peer recognition letters. As a teacher I will take any chance to receive feedback from my peers. I am always looking for new ways to up my game. I ask them to give me both positive and negative feedback. I don't just want to hear, "you're doing a great job"; I want to know why and what can be improved upon. Teaching is an active process changing with each challenge that comes my way. I reach out to students who may need a little more guidance.
