College service provides us the opportunity to work side-by-side with a variety departments on campus. I enjoy college service.  Well before it was all mandated, I served on mulitple committess both in academics and student services.

I pride my self as a past developmental educator and my dedication to working with student service personnel to offer the best curriculum and workshops to serve students needs.  It was working with multiple committees where I was able to see  the big picture of a community college.

One of my major accomplishments this academic year has been to work with student service personnel to develop and review courses.  Some of these originated in the School of Developmental Education but never had direct faculty involvement.  I am in the process of preparing the CCO's to go through the proper curriculum process.  Currently, I am working on two full course proposals as an alternative to our college success class.

I was honored to be asked to serve on two Student Services Program Review committees this past academic year.  I was asked by Janet Felker to meet with outside evaluators. I gave feedback in two areas  I utilize in my courses.   (Health and Wellness and Student Employment Resources.) My work has gone from small conversations on campus to larger campus wide committees. I enjoyed being asked to serve on the Student Access and Success Council commissioned by the past College President.

In addition, I have always mentored adjunct faculty.  My files are open to anyone teaching in my field.  In the past,  I worked on adjunct issues.  I conduct numerous adjunct observations and trainings. It is imperative to work closely with all faculty whether full or part-time.
