I recently joined this organization. It is exciting to know a local group is growing. I am trying to be proactive with the organization to promote growth.
The mission of the Utah Career Development Association is to promote career development principles and practices. To achieve this, UCDA fosters a partnership among career development practitioners, counselors, and advisors across the State of Utah in order to establish and improve the standards of professional service in the field of career development.
The National Career Development Association (NCDA) provides professional development, publications, standards, and advocacy to practitioners and educators who inspire and empower individuals to achieve their career and life goals.
Since 1973, the ACE Women's Network has provided information and counsel to constituencies within the higher education community regarding policies, issues, education, and research that influence women's equity, diversity, and advancement.
The Annual Conference on The First-Year Experience is designed to provide educators from every segment of higher education a comfortable, welcoming environment to share innovative ideas, programs, tools, and research critical to the learning, development, and success of first-year college students. The conference aims to promote a comprehensive and engaging community open to a diversity of ideas, in which all delegates are given the opportunity and resources to grow personally and professionally.
NADE: For nearly 40 years, he National Association for Developmental Education (NADE) and its members have helped learners at all levels of preparedness realize their full academic potential
The Southwest Association of Developmental Education is a regional off-shoot to the National Association of Developmental Education. Before moving to the Education Dept. at Salt Lake Community College, I was an active member and presented at several conferences.
